The ad was designed in the style of soap advertising from periods gone by.
Fonts were used that echoed type trends from the 50's and the 70's. Having come into vogue again a different approach to the use of Futura was employed. Usually, retro ads have a satirical & cheeky air about them. Here we went for authenticity and buying into the esthetic & extending it rather than mocking it. The flavor of Futura here has a died-in-the-wool post-war 1950's industrial feel about it. You can get more of a sense of it on the next page in a larger presentation >>
